Denise G. Carson was hired by the International Association of Transportation Regulators (IATR) on January 1, 2005. Since that time Ms. Carson has organized the 2005 annual conference in Niagara Falls, Canada and the 2006 conference in Seattle, Washington. Currently, Ms. Carson is currently organizing the 2007 conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Carson is also responsible for membership coordination and financial management for the IATR.

Prior to her position as conference planner for the IATR, Ms. Carson was Manager of the Consumer Regulation and Licensing Branch for Fairfax County Government. In this position, Ms. Carson coordinated and managed the activities of four program areas, which included: regulatory oversight of telecommunications, electric, gas and public transportation for hire companies.

Ms. Carson founded her own Tax and Business Consulting business in January 1995. Prior to 1995, Ms. Carson worked for a local utility company in Washington, DC in various accounting, auditing and regulatory positions.

Ms. Carson received a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Business Management Systems. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration. Ms. Carson is a practicing Certified Public Accountant.
